bisexual (= hermaphrodite): bearing both male and female organs together, e.g. on the same gametophyte or in the same flower.
dioecious: having the male and female reproductive structures on separate plants. cf. monoecious. monoecious: having the male and female reproductive structures in separate flowers but on the same plant. cf. dioecious. unisexual: bearing only male or only female reproductive organs. |
